City of Trinidad Central Park Renovation Ribbon-Cutting Celebration

**TRINIDAD, COLORADO � July 26, 2024**

� The City of Trinidad is thrilled to announce the completion of a comprehensive makeover of Central Park, with the unveiling of a host of new and enhanced features that will elevate the baseball experience for fans and players alike.

The upgrades and new features include:

New LED Lights
New fieldturf infield playing surface
New Turf Artificial Mound
New Dugouts
New Chairback Seating
New Concourse for party areas
New turf berm seating area
New Mascot Triggy the Trigger

These enhancements have transformed Central Park into a premier baseball facility, providing a state-of-the-art environment for the Trinidad Triggers and the community to enjoy America"s favorite pastime.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebration will take place at 5:30PM, on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Central Park Ballpark in Trinidad, Colorado. The event will feature a lineup of distinguished speakers, including city officials, representatives from local organizations, and key stakeholders involved in the renovation project. Join us for an afternoon filled with festivities, tours of the revamped facilities starting at 4:30PM, GhettoDias and Triggers beer stand open at 5:00PM, and baseball game between the Trinidad Triggers and the Blackwell Flycatchers. In a comprehensive makeover, the community"s beloved park now boasts a suite of state-of-the-art upgrades designed to enhance the fan experience and energize the city"s sports scene. The park"s transformation includes ADA compliant walkways, ramps and seating, a new restroom in the lower concession area, the installation of energy-efficient LED lights, a high-quality fieldturf infield playing surface, a turf artificial mound, contemporary dugouts, comfortable chairback seating, a concourse designed for party areas, and an inviting turf berm seating space.

General Manager Affirms Confidence in Manager Aaron Stubblefield of Trinidad Triggers

As the Trinidad Triggers gear up for the upcoming baseball season, General Manager Kim Schultz today reaffirmed her trust and satisfaction with the team"s manager, Aaron Stubblefield, who has been at the helm for the past two years and eight months. "Stubbs is just stellar," Schultz remarked. "Mr. Dunn and I hired him as the Triggers Field Manager at the end of a very long 2021 season. I didn"t know him very well, but I did know, that when he spoke the boys listened. His first season with the Triggers in 2022, Aaron took the team from no playoff contention to second place in the division and third in the league, accomplishing the same in 2023. He is a true professional, and I look forward to working with him again this season."
