The cold weather really slowed down the bats with temperatures in the 60s.
After Monday Nights rainout in Trinidad, this
critical two game series was reduced to one game
that had to cross the state line and move up game
time to 3:00 PM to avoid another rainout.
Raton New Mexico hosted the
Raton Osos in the Pecos League in 2013 and
2014 and was one of the main locations for the
Pecos League TV Show that featured the Trinidad
Triggers.
With the Trinidad Triggers loss the Santa Fe Fuego
are one full game back of the Triggers. The
Roswell Invaders are one full game ahead of the
Triggers in the three seed.

Trinidad led 8-5 after scoring six times in the third inning, but the SnowSox answered with 11 runs in the fifth and added three more in the sixth to take control. Colorado Springs also scored once in the first and seventh innings, while Trinidad added single runs in the seventh and ninth.
Taichi Nakamaura went 4-for-5 with five runs and two RBI for Colorado Springs. Robb Paller had three hits and four RBI, Joel Moore added four RBI, and Carlo Francisco went 3-for-5 with four runs and one RBI. Joel Barraza contributed three hits and two RBI. For Trinidad, Nick Sciubba went 4-for-5 with three runs and one RBI, while David Arza collected three hits and drove in three runs.

July 22 2022 The Santa Fe Fuego overcame an early deficit and held on for an 18-17 victory over the Trinidad Triggers. Both teams finished with 15 hits, but Santa Fe scored nine runs in the fifth inning to turn a 3-0 deficit into a 9-4 lead. The Fuego added three runs in the sixth, two in the seventh and four in the eighth to secure the win.
Drake Ayala led Santa Fe with three hits in five at-bats, three runs and six RBI, including two home runs. Luis Hidalgo went 3-for-6 with three RBI, a home run and a triple, while Jared Gay added three hits, two runs, two RBI and a homer. Phil Buckingham and Josh Mosley also homered for the Fuego.
Trinidad answered with eight runs in the seventh and five in the eighth to take a 17-16 lead. Zach May finished 3-for-6 with three runs, five RBI and two home runs, and Jason Rooks went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI and two homers. Peter Bocchino added two hits, a run, an RBI and a home run for the Triggers.

Santa Fe broke the game open with a 13-run second inning and added runs in each of the next four innings. Trinidad responded with 10 runs in the fourth to cut the deficit to one, but Santa Fe scored six in the fifth, two in the seventh and three in the eighth to build a 28-19 advantage. The Triggers scored four times in the ninth but could not complete the comeback.
Luis Hidalgo led Santa Fe with three hits, five runs and seven RBI, including three home runs. Jared Gay added two homers, three hits and five RBI, while Dominick Pisano went 4-for-5 with five runs and four RBI. Drake Ayala had three hits and four RBI. Tucson led 5-1 after scoring twice in the second inning two more runs in the third and once in the fourth. The Triggers’ seven-run fifth turned the game in their favor, and they added three runs in the seventh to take an 11-7 lead. Tucson scored twice in the ninth but could not complete the comeback.
Ricky Butts led Trinidad with two hits two runs and three RBI. Peter Bocchino went 3-for-3 with two runs an RBI and a walk while Adam Purdy added two hits and two RBI. For Tucson, Brock Ephan had three hits and an RBI, and Kendon Strachan went 2-for-5 with two home runs two runs and two RBI. Caden Ledbetter contributed three RBI, and Tucson hit six home runs overall.
Justin Nathasingh allowed five runs on 12 hits over six innings for Trinidad. Garden City took a 5-3 lead with four runs in the fourth inning and added single runs in the third fifth and seventh to move ahead 7-5. Trinidad answered with two runs in the sixth before scoring three times in the eighth to regain the lead and secure the win.

Trinidad took advantage of a three-run fifth inning and added two runs in the eighth before completing the comeback in the ninth. Yasushi Sanematsu went 2-for-5 with two runs and two RBI, while Zach May was 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Jason Rooks and David Arza also recorded two hits apiece, and Nick Sciubba doubled twice and drove in a run.

Wasco scored all four of its runs in the eighth, but the Triggers answered with five runs in the bottom half to pull away.
Kadrian Russ led Trinidad with two hits, two runs and six RBI. David Arza went 2-for-5 with three runs, two RBI and a home run, while Zach May added two hits, three runs, two RBI and a triple. Peter Bocchino collected four hits in six at-bats, and Yasushi Sanematsu reached base five times with two hits and three walks. Chris Jordan also homered and drove in two runs.

Trinidad broke through with five runs in the third inning and nine more in the fourth to take a 14-4 lead. The Triggers added two runs in the seventh and held off Roswells late push. The Invaders scored seven runs in the seventh and one in the ninth, but could not complete the comeback.
