Offenses dominate as the Trinidad Triggers outscore the Raton Osos 12-9

The bats were busy at Gabriele Park on Friday, and when the dust cleared the Trinidad Triggers (26-20) had a 12-9 win over the Raton Osos (18-29).

The two teams combined for 22 hits in the game.

Jake Summers racked up four RBIs on one hit for the Trinidad Triggers. He homered in the first inning.

Andre Oliver led the Raton Osos offensive threat, as he got on base four times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the first, sixth, and seventh innings.

The Trinidad Triggers had no answer for Derrick Mitchell, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Mitchell held the Trinidad Triggers hitless over 3 1/3 innings, allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out four.

Zach Leitten improved to 3-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Trinidad Triggers. He allowed four runs over two innings. Leitten struck out two, walked two and gave up four hits.

Joey Perretta ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
