July 15 2019 The Trinidad Triggers overcame an early deficit to defeat the Santa Fe Fuego 8-7. Santa Fe scored six runs in the first inning and added another in the third, but Trinidad answered with two runs in the first, three in the second and three more in the fifth to take the lead. Both teams finished with nine hits.
Tim Henry led Trinidad with two hits and four RBI including a home run. Thomas Jefferies IV went 3-for-4 with one RBI while Ryan Patrick added two hits and one RBI. Nick Stoll doubled and scored once for the Triggers. Santa Fe’s Robert Garza collected two hits and two RBI while Rick Phillips Kyle Butler and Nick Herzog each had two hits and one RBI.
Ryan Patrick earned the win after allowing three hits and one run over four innings with one walk and one strikeout. Taylor Bridges worked a scoreless inning with two strikeouts and Cody Strayer closed with a scoreless inning and two strikeouts to earn the save. Santa Fe starter TJ Zarewicz took the loss after surrendering eight runs on eight hits in five innings.
