June 25 2019 The Alpine Cowboys rallied from an early deficit to defeat the Trinidad Triggers 11-10. Alpine finished with 12 hits and scored the go-ahead run in the eighth inning after Trinidad had built a 10-6 lead through five innings. Both teams committed one error.
Trinidad struck for five runs in the first inning and added two in the second and two in the fourth. Alpine answered with three runs in the first, one in the third and two in the fifth before tying the game with four runs in the seventh. Alpine then pushed across the deciding run in the eighth and held Trinidad scoreless in the bottom half and in the ninth.
W. Little led Alpine with three hits, two home runs, three runs and six RBI. M. Traylor added two hits, two runs, two RBI and a home run, while E. Gallego contributed one hit and three RBI. Rodney Tennie collected three hits, and Lance Myers reached base four times with one hit and three walks.
Matt Eiel earned the win after allowing no hits or runs over two innings while striking out five and walking one. Andrew Click recorded the save with a scoreless inning that included three strikeouts. Skyler Henderson took the loss for Trinidad after allowing one run in one inning. Nick Stoll had two hits and three RBI for the Triggers, while Tim Henry hit a home run and drove in three runs.
