June 12 2019 The Trinidad Triggers defeated the Santa Fe Fuego 13-0, scoring in four separate innings and holding Santa Fe to five hits. Trinidad collected 14 hits and took a 4-0 lead in the first inning before adding three runs in the third, four in the fifth and two in the seventh. Santa Fe committed one error while Trinidad played error-free baseball.
Matt Eureste went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and three RBI for Trinidad. Tim Henry added three hits in four at-bats, scored twice and drove in four runs, while Nick Stoll went 2-for-4 with a home run, one run and two RBI. Scott Stetson scored three times and contributed one RBI, and Jakob Shuler finished with two hits and one RBI.
Sean Kiley earned the win after limiting Santa Fe to four hits and no runs over six innings. He struck out five and walked two. Taylor Bridges, Skyler Henderson and Ronald Gutierrez combined to complete the shutout, allowing one hit over three scoreless innings while recording five strikeouts.
Santa Fe starter Jack Herzing took the loss after allowing 10 hits and 11 runs, including 10 earned, in five innings. He struck out seven and walked five. Cleveland Westbrook and Scott Walton each worked one scoreless inning for the Fuego, while TJ Zarewicz added a scoreless ninth.
