Trinidad Triggers Roll Past Santa Fe Fuego 14-5

June 10 2019 The Trinidad Triggers defeated the Santa Fe Fuego 14-5 at Central Park in Trinidad, using a 16-hit attack to build a commanding lead. Trinidad scored four runs in the first inning and added runs in each of the next five innings, taking a 9-1 advantage through six frames before adding five more runs over the final two innings. Santa Fe scored once in the sixth and four times in the seventh but could not close the gap.

Matt Eureste led Trinidad with four hits in five at-bats, scoring four runs and driving in two. Tim Henry went 3-for-4 with three runs and four RBI, while Nick Stoll collected four hits and three RBI. Abel Arocho added two hits and two runs, and catcher Conor Bawiec had a hit, two runs and one RBI. Trinidad also received three RBI from Scott Stetson and two doubles from Stoll.

Bawiec earned the win after allowing five hits and five runs, three earned, in seven innings. He walked one and struck out six. Ryan Patrick and C. Strayer each worked a scoreless inning to finish the game. Santa Fe's Troy Maslowski had a triple and three RBI, while Logan Linder added a double and two RBI, but Fuego starter Ed Warren took the loss after surrendering eight runs, seven earned, on six hits in 3.1 innings with 11 walks and three strikeouts.
