June 9 2019 The Trinidad Triggers defeated the Roswell Invaders 13-2 after taking control with eight runs in the second inning and adding three more in the third. Trinidad scored twice in the eighth, while Roswell’s two runs came in the ninth. The Triggers finished with 16 hits and one error; the Invaders collected five hits and committed four errors.
Abel Arocho led Trinidad with two hits, two runs and four RBI, including a home run. Nick Stoll went 3-for-5 with three runs and an RBI, while Scott Stetson added three hits and a double. Kyle Rodriguez drove in three runs, and Jakob Shuler and D. Gallagher each had two hits and an RBI.
Jose Orta earned the win for Trinidad with eight scoreless innings, allowing three hits and six walks while striking out 11. Alex Werbach took the loss for Roswell after allowing 11 runs, 10 earned, on 13 hits in four innings. Patrick Gonzalez followed with three scoreless innings for the Invaders before Alex Peters worked the ninth.
