Trinidad Triggers Rally Past Alpine Cowboys 12-7

July 9 2018 The Trinidad Triggers scored four runs in the first inning and four more in the eighth to defeat the Alpine Cowboys 12-7. Trinidad collected 12 hits and led 8-3 after seven innings before Alpine trimmed the deficit with a three-run eighth. The Triggers answered with their decisive four-run rally in the bottom half and held Alpine to one run in the ninth.

Jacob Cobb-Adams earned the win for Trinidad after allowing five hits and three earned runs in seven innings. He walked three and struck out six. Matt Stuart and C. Strayer completed the game, while Alpine starter Luke Wiechec took the loss after giving up seven hits and six runs in 4.2 innings, with five earned runs and three strikeouts.

Danny Molinari went 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI for Trinidad, while Matt Eureste and Nick Stoll each collected two hits and scored twice. Bronson Butcher drove in two runs, and Abel Arocho also finished with two RBIs. Alpine was led by Caleb Davidson, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two RBIs, a triple and a home run. Ely Gallego added a pinch-hit single and two RBIs for the Cowboys.
