Triggers Cruise Past Pupfish 13-2

June 12 2018 The Trinidad Triggers defeated the White Sands Pupfish 13-2 at Griggs Park behind an 18-hit offensive attack. Trinidad scored in eight of nine innings, including two runs each in the fourth through sixth innings and three in the eighth, while White Sands scored both of its runs in the second inning. The Triggers committed no errors while the Pupfish were charged with two. Matt Eureste led Trinidad with four hits in five at-bats, including a home run, two runs and seven RBI. Danny Molinari added three hits and scored twice, while Tim Henry, Kenneth Fudge and Justin Busekrus each collected two hits. Abel Arocho reached base three times with two hits and three walks, scored four runs and stole two bases. Joseph Broderick earned the win for Trinidad after allowing seven hits and two earned runs in seven innings. He struck out nine and walked three. Teddy Henderson and Joba Ferrell each worked a scoreless inning in relief, combining for three strikeouts. Darrell Render Jr. took the loss for White Sands after surrendering seven runs, five earned, on nine hits in 5.1 innings. Ulric Johnson allowed four runs in 1.2 innings, while Lucas Sanchez gave up two runs in the ninth. Chris McCoy and Brandon Torres each had two hits for the Pupfish, with both players recording an RBI.
