July 11 2024 The Trinidad Triggers defeated the North Platte 80s 9-8 at Central Park on July 11 2024. Trinidad collected 16 hits and overcame a late North Platte push to secure the win while North Platte finished with 10 hits.

Trinidad built an early 5-1 lead with two runs in the first inning and three in the second. The Triggers added single runs in the fifth and sixth innings before North Platte scored three times in the seventh to cut the deficit to 7-5. North Platte then scored three runs in the ninth, but Trinidad answered with two in the bottom half to finish the victory.

Jacob Mitchell led Trinidad with three hits including a home run and three RBI. Jakobe Smith and Jordan Anderson each scored twice and drove in two runs, with Anderson also hitting a home run. Humberto Maldonado added one hit and two RBI, while Tyler Monaco and Alex Garcia each had two hits.

Paul Mendoza earned the win for Trinidad after allowing three runs on five hits with one walk and one strikeout in one inning. Jacob Faivre struck out 11 and allowed five hits over seven innings, giving up five runs four earned. For North Platte, Coby Tweten went 3-for-4 with three RBI, and Marcos Corrales added two RBI. Justin Stewart was charged with the loss after allowing two runs and two walks in one-third of an inning.
