Trinidad Triggers Rally Past Roswell Invaders 8-7

August 9 2022 The Trinidad Triggers overcame an early deficit with a four-run sixth inning and held on for an 8-7 victory over the Roswell Invaders. Trinidad finished with 10 hits and scored in the second fifth and sixth innings while Roswell collected seven hits and scored four runs in the second and three in the fourth.

Roswell’s Colton Adams went 2-for-3 with two home runs three RBI two runs and a walk. Dillan Smith added a home run and three RBI while DeMarcus Kelly had a double and an RBI. For Trinidad David Arza went 2-for-3 with two doubles and three runs scored. Adam Purdy and Ricky Butts each had two hits and two RBI and Peter Pena also had two hits.

Tyler Fischer earned the win for Trinidad after allowing one hit and three runs over four innings with four walks and three strikeouts. Pierce Smith recorded the save with a scoreless ninth inning. Roswell starter Markus Bracey took the loss after giving up 10 hits and eight earned runs in 5.2 innings while striking out seven. Kenny Stewart provided 2.1 scoreless innings for the Invaders and struck out six.
