4/28/2013-The Triggers reload for their 2nd Year. Players report to Trinidad Colorado next week for Spring Training for the 2nd Year of Trinidad Triggers Baseball. The Expenses and travel schedule for the Triggers will be much better in 2013 with expansion teams in Raton, Las Vegas and Taos and a northern division. The rigorous 10 day home 10 day road schedule in 2012 stretched the Triggers budget also 4 trips to Alpine. Pueblo West never built their stadium to partner with the Triggers it appears they won't build their stadium. Instead the Triggers have a very unlikely rival neighbor in Raton New Mexico. The two teams play 16 times. It appears the Triggers have finally resolved their issues with Trinidad State Junior College over field usage.
The Triggers return field manager JD Droddy who managed 4 games in 2012 and was the only coach to be on the staff since day 1. The Triggers also return Kim Schultz who was one of the best in the entire Pecos League Front Office and helped operate one of the best Pecos League's team despite being the lone Colorado Entry.   • Matt Hunt SS-signed from Pecos Spring League expected to improve the Pecos League's worst defense immediately and fills a need the team never could fill in 2012.
  • Andrew Azzopardi C-signed from Pecos Spring League will be a key offensive force for Triggers can play other positions provides veteran bat to lineup.
  • Frank Florio-OF-signed from Pecos Spring is expected to be one of teams key offensive forces
  • Grant Ledbetter-RHP with potential of being rare true power arm as starter

    The Triggers open across the border in Raton on 5/15/2013 and their home opener is 5/21/2013 hosting the Las Vegas Train Robbers.
