The Garden City Wind get on top of the Trinidad Triggers early but cant hang on in 8-4 loss

The Garden City Wind (21-19) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 8-4 to the Trinidad Triggers (23-18) on Saturday.

While the Garden City Wind led until the seventh inning, the Trinidad Triggers worked their way back and took the lead on an RBI single by Eric Williams.

Brian Frazier went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the Trinidad Triggers. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fifth and seventh innings.

Dominic Monda pitched lights out for the Trinidad Triggers. Monda held the Garden City Wind hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Joey Cecere racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Garden City Wind. He homered in the second inning and singled in the first and eighth innings.

Eric Brothers improved to 3-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Trinidad Triggers. Brothers struck out two, walked four and gave up one hit.

Austin Hilton was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
